Hi, I'm currently in the process of making a short film, called:

the man who met death with all his eggs in one basket

Originally this started out as a loose adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Masque of The Red Death', but it is now entirely unrelated to that, except from a couple of subtle references. I won't give away the plot, but hopefully you'll get an idea from my drawings and concepts.

I'l start this thread off with some of the drawings I've done for the film up to this point, in chronological order.

Still from a costume test, before it had been dirtied and made to look like it had been worn in the wild for months without a wash. The image has been quickly graded to start experimenting with the look of the film:

Wow, this looks very interesting indeed. I always liked The Masque of the Red Death since I first read it in school many years ago.

Did you make the armor yourself? It looks very authentic but also stylized a bit, which is great for this type of film.

Thanks Nektonic. Actually, I don't have any armour yet. For these images I've used photo's of a potential helmet as a base and then basically repainted them in photoshop. It's just to give an idea of what he could look like. I'm still undecided on the helmet front in terms of what kind, and of course budget plays a large part.

You might get funding from an investment banking firm; they're always advocating a diversified portfolio.

What would be a good blurb?

Don't be caught dead with all your eggs in one basket!

A diversified portfolio is your best way of foiling the plot of the Grim Reaper!

I don't know; I'm not good at this sort of thing. Anyway, good luck with the project; it looks real scary

The new project looks fantastic.

I’m a big fan of previous work you’ve posted here and elsewhere, and would LOVE to see any similar concept art used (or not used) during the creation of your other recent pieces... (+ I guess that your bumping of those threads couldn’t hurt in terms of promoting this one!)

Hi, I thought I would post up some stills from the teaser trailer I was making. The teaser didn't come together how I wanted, so I scrapped it.
The look of these grabs is close to how I want the film to look, so it gives an indication of the style I'm going for.
