GH5 The lowest cost place to buy a GH5S is... Walmart??

I just happened to do some looking and see that both Amazon and B&H Photo are selling the GH5S for $2000 (okay, within a dollar or two of that price). However, you can get the GH5S, brand new with a US warranty, for $1760 from Walmart. I had never before considered buying something like a higher-end camera from Walmart.

I'm not really interested in getting a GH5S, but I thought that I would post this in case someone out there is thinking about it.
 
Look at the fine print...as the cameras are usually coming from random online shops/"chop shops" (sometimes possibly with no USA warranty). And that doesn't mean they are bad businesses, but just a note as they are usually not "Sold & shipped by Walmart".

Walmart started doing this years ago (same thing Amazon does although they stock/ship more electronics themselves).

I think I've seen the price that low at B$H/Adorama too (prices always fluctuate with older cameras there too...random savings and "deals").
 
My wife and I both got burned by Amazon, by not paying attention to who the seller was. She bought a printing calculator. Sold as new, it was used and defective from a Brooklyn outfit. Money down the tubes as of course, their return policy cost more than throwing it away. I bought some pouches for microphones from Amazon not paying attention that it was an outfit in China. No tracking, no delivery after 3 months. No real recourse to get money back except to beg the seller.

Lessons learned.

I’ve purchased from them before they’re legit. The Walmart thing comes up googling best price but it’s so 3rd party sham so avoid. Amzn is ok but you still have to be careful that the individual seller is ok. If you have Payboo with no tax it’s hard to beat B&H.
