GH2 "The Long Way Home" filmed in the Redwood forests of Northern California

I wanted to share my newest short piece, shot using a hacked GH2, with the forum. It was filmed in the Redwood and Douglas fir forests in Mt. Tamalpais State Park, Marin County.

I used my Panasonic GH2 with the Sanity v5 patch shooting at 24H. Lenses used were Lumix 100-300mm, and the kit 14-42mm.

Please take a look and enjoy. Constructive criticism is welcome, of course.

Feel free to share it if you like it!

Thanks

Thanks for the quiet Sunday morning reminder that such places still exist, steeped in their own wisdom and far away from the petty concerns of us humans.

My only comment is that I think your work and the GH2 hack deserve better glass. I hope to see some of that some day. Nonetheless, wonderful images and I envy your commute.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I, too, hope that I can get some better glass someday, but for now I am stuck with the lenses I have (which luckily aren't terrible).

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Very nice. I like the pacing. I'm from Humboldt County so I know these forests well. Time seems to slow down when you're in them, and I feel that in your piece.
