The legend has returned...

Is the GG grain-free on this thing? I thought that's what all the spinning and vibrating was for and why people went with the Letus or RedRock. Has Cinemek somehow found a grainless GG that is also sharp?

that bokeh looked delisious. the light loss may well be worth is if this thing will consistently produce images as filmic as those.

No flip. No Rod bracket. 1.4 Light loss. Nothing is worth that much light loss as far as adaptors are concerned. Not to be a hater, but at that level of light loss, the amount of lights and power you'd need to get at a workable stop (2.8plus) for interiors or night exteriors off sets any economic gain by shooting with a low cost adaptor on a camcorder. You either light harder, use bigger units or you can stay with smaller lights/crew and use the savings on a PS technik, superspeed, 2/3" camera rig.

1/2 stop is the max for me. Anything more the economics go out the window.

Nice video clip.....

However,

Way to much light loss. Im sure a full HD frame will show grain. I look forward to the day we can put all adapters in the grave completely. Someday!

Tim, I saw some of your work. I really respect what you do, and indeed you are a very talented person. I realize that what you write because I´m sure you know very well what you are saying. Anyways, don´t you think it might be worth to give it some time out there in the jungle to the G35 to see how it really performs?

Cheers...

Your right. Performance is king. Someone can rig a Zacuto piece to hold it to an adaptor. And I think Raylight can flip on ingest. What can I say, I've been using these things for about two years and the non flip and lousy or no mounts have been the bane of adaptors. Eitherway, I can't wait to try one and see what makes it legendary. Off Topic: Does MacCregor have a first name? I get him confused with all the other MacCregors. Also, in case the G35 fails I'll need full names.

You can use flex to cut G35 right after the focusing screen, and than fix it on the SGpro flip or something similar..

:D

Just thought...
