besides investing in the camera and p2 components and spending money on the travel expenses and the rental of lighting gear.. everything else is a matter of blood & sweat and experience... whether you do it yourself or you hire people to do it... thanks.

Maybe it's just because, being an HVX owner, I'm biased, but the vid and the tune are better than most of what I see on MTV/VH1/etc. Like others, I might nudge here and there, but that's down to a matter of taste.

Bravo.
 
Congrats. Though the exteriors shots are soft (it's a 1/3 cam, after all), it's the best music vid ever posted on this site.

But how'd they get Sammy Hagar to sing for them?

It's soft on purpose. I know it's sacraligous to do that to HD, but it's a music video, we did other very bad things to it as u can see... thanks for the props about the video.

David Lee Roth and Gary Cherone wasn't avaiable for the shoot so we went with Sammy as our last choice..

er..yeah, it's wicked. ALSO kinoflows look awesome reflected in guitars dont they.
 
I really liked it. The song and the video. Couple of focus issues here and there (old man at the table) but maybe that's the HD affecting me:). Only other thing was the shakiness at times looked a little too much. I don't mind the jerky zooms and quick moves, just a couple shots screamed handheld (looked like a wobbly wrist). I liked the beach stuff, even if it did look a little too frosty at times. Overall, the colors looked amazing, nice lighting, and I loved the B&W stuff with the old film look. Good work.

ha ha.. believe or not that was done on purpose... my goal was to make you hit the tv screean and go wtf is going on with my tv...

Yeah, I have to agree. I should be the last one to throw stones but I'm thinking that post needs to be edited or deleted.
 
pkendall, how did you deal with noise issue when you were filming indoors with one kino.
You have lots of dark areas in your footage yet little to no noise.
I get way too much dancing noise, especially on walls.
 
Nice, nice video. Great song. Nice b/w. I would have liked there during that
long middle of b/w to have seen a cut to color at the crux of the chorus. Right at
that bang. Otherwise, nice, nice, job.
