The image? GH1 vs. 5D

I was just posting about DSLR's against DVX/HVX and was wondering how the GH1's image compares to the 5D, nothing else. I have a 5D and have no problems with the no manual control/ exposure lock. Its a fair bit like using my LEX in the ND filter game. I love the image and wonder if the image on the GH1 is better? I'd have a look if it trumped the 5D.

It's a matter of preference. The 5D would have better low light performance.

But the advantage of manual controls should not be underestimated in my opinion. But if you don't mind not having them, then I would say you should stick with the 5D.

I will have both as soon as the GH1 is available here in the U.S. Based upon test footage, I am more impressed with the look of the 5D but I have seen some decent GH1 stuff starting to crop up as well.
