The Igloo of Dreams

I made a documentary for a club at my highschool about our attempts to sleep overnight in an igloo that we made on campus. We ran into some stumbling blocks, but I think it made the documentary better. This is going to be presented to an audience that knows the people and the club, so some of the context and/or humor may not quite make sense to you. Also, I'm aware that there are many technical problems with it. The white balance is all over the place. Audio was done with an attached shotgun mic and is thus spotty in places. It was the kind of thing where these guys said, "Come make a movie of us," and I grabbed the camera and filmed. So its all handheld, on the spot. Using a flashlight for lighting in places.

haha...the end was very funny! i like that you were able to take a night of footage and made it into a short story.

HAHAH!!! I loved it....it was a bit long but i still watched it...i love it. you guys are awesome...

This was great. I was very impressed that you were able to take some footage shot and create a meaninful, watchable piece about something very comical yet sentimental at the same time. Keep up the good work.

That was great, very funny and entertaining. One question, the bell and birds noise transitioning into the next day, is that some stock sound, or did you take it from the Dream Theater Octavarium album? Just out of curiosity.

Thanks everyone. It helped that the guys were so into it and really played along. It was a weird mix of actually being upset about the situation and yet exagerating it for the camera, and I think it really worked. 15 minutes definately is rather long. There was just so much good footage I didn't know what to cut. Were there any parts in particular that you thought were unnecessary?

Ah, I didn't keep it up long enough, as I'm at work and should be working lol. Dream Theater is my favorite band, I knew I recognized that sound. Anyway Good job and just the right amount of exageration to make it funny, but not over done.
