THE HILLS ARE BARE: A bit of secular spirituality for the holidays

(psst: I found a Lutheran hymnal in the street, saw some nice lyrics,
didn't know the tune so I made up my own.)

(psst 2: People say I'm a lousy singer, not true. I'm a lousy guitar player,
my singin's actually mediocre.)

People say I'm a lousy singer, not true.
I'm a lousy guitar player, my singin's actually mediocre.
But don't you fret. I'm the world's greatest
lousy guitar-player with a mediocre singin' voice.

I"d be lying if I said the Orthodox Christmas didn't mean a lot to me, I celebrate it every year--it's like the 8th or 9th, rt--and being so religiously disposed, naturally, it's a good reason to listen to THE HILLS ARE BARE, which I did a couple times tonight. Or was it last night, I forget.
