GH13 The Hack and the LCD Display

I purchased a hacked GH1 modified to 40bits/sec and have no means of evaluating its footage for a while.

I was wondering how much faith I should put in the LCD display: it gives me a lot of noise and even banding although this GH1's serial is not the type associated with those imperfections. Should I consider the LCD to be a 'rough sketch' only?

In general, it's not a great idea to put to much faith in the LCD screen. However, normally footage looks better on the LCD screen than it will on a proper display. If you are seeing noise on the LCD screen, it's almost certainly in your recordings as well.

You have fixed pattern noise at what ISO? 800 should show a touch, 1600 a lot, but 400 should be pretty much clean.
