I enjoyed the first film more than not because it did have an air of creepiness and certain segments were shot very very well. And yes, I love my fellow All My Kids alumn SMG.
That said, the second movie was worse than a student film. It felt like Uwe Bowell had taken over the helm. It had none of the atmosphere or even just nice compositions of the first film.
PLUS, I counted FIVE times the microphone was BLATANTLY in the frame. At first I thought I must have been seeing things. It got to be a little game after awhile-will the mic be in the shot or not... sadly, that's the only thing that kept this garbled mess of a movie remotely interesting. It was slow, boring, and brought nothing but confusion to the table and further muddled the already muddy rules of "a grudge".
Worth seeing for how truly awful it is and for your own chance to play the microphone game, but beyond that, I have a grudge with the filmmakers of this hookey movie.
