"The Good Book" production thread - first faith based silent film in over 80 years

MainStreet Productions is in the pre production stage of "The Good Book", a silent movie with a distinctly different format. There will be no subtitles, and the film will have a fully orchestrated score with ample use of live instruments. It's a faith based feature length project, the story of a New Testament that passes through the hands of 7 people and the impact it has on their lives. Casting is now complete, and Hollywood actress Jenn Gotzon has been cast as a lead. The movie will be shot on the Sony FS700 from August 31- Oct 15. The FS700 was chosen specifically for it's high frame rate abilities.

I'd go a little more old school with the trailer... or that's what seems to fit best with me when you say silent film... see if you can find trailers from that period....

I would definitely go that route if we were producing a traditional silent flick- however, we are sort of re inventing the format- color rather than black and white , no subtitles, orchestral soundtrack. The final product will resemble the story portions of a music video, at extended length (60 minute).

Trailer looks like some Church / religion promo..

Trailer looks like some Church / religion promo..

I would hope so, as it's a Christian movie and that is our target market (see thread title)
