Hi!

Take a look at our short film. It is the first film from the director and writer Danas. I was doing cinematography and editing.

I like it. The story was pretty interesting, I liked the ending, and the photography was pretty nice too.

A few notes:

The sound of the crowd in the first scene sounds un-natural like it's been added in post production. It sounds like the sort of crowd you'd hear at a bus station not walking down the hallway of a hospital.

The musical cues when the girl is getting the watch are a little too much I think. The volume and the suddenness of the guitar twang were jarring actually. I think you should aim for more subtlety with this because it pulled me out of the film.

The birds chirping in the morning was obviously dubbed as well.

8:30 - "When the bus will be?" should be "when is the first bus?"

Overall nice work!

Thanks, A Messenger!

We had a lot of trouble with sound (first time using not-in-camera mic). Most ambient sound is done in post, because we had only dialogs recorded (big mistake).

I liked it!

First time actors is amazing. They did extremely well. Kudos to them and the director. Dialog sound was very good. Off camera mic totally worth the effort. Cinematography also very good.

Musical score was fair - guitar levels were unfortunately often intrusive, and yea, sound IS a lot of trouble and that's being kind. I'm sure we lost a lot of the subtleties in the english subtitles but the story and emotions came through. Overall a very credible effort - congratulations to all and thanks for sharing.

This was a good short. I enjoyed it a lot. Some great shots and cool locations.

I agree with the previous comments about that one repeated guitar sound. I'd rather you just cut that sound.

The actors were all very good. I especially liked her uncle.

My favorite scene was the scene in the abandoned building. Nice tension there, and an awesome location.

The bedsheets on the hospital bed were weird for me. In the USA we would have much plainer, flatter sheets. Not sure if that's a cultural thing, or an accuracy thing.

My only other complaint would be to have someone proofread all the subtitles. There are a number of mistakes.

Yes, I think this is cultural thing about hospitals, we were shooting in a real private hospital.

Mistakes in subtitles - my fault :) I will try to fix it.
