The Ghost Car

There's about 4 people in existence that would get that reference (Charlie Sheen in 'The Wraith').

Dude, I so loved that movie as a kid back in like '87-'88. I haven't seen it since. I'm sure it is every bit as awful as I imagine it would be in 2006. However, I like to remember it fondly so I won't ruin it and see it again. :)

But every so often I still do get the urge to drink antifreeze. Wooeeeeey, Gutterboy!!!

Hahaha,

I vaguely remember the Wraith.

D-C, do you remember Automan? As a kid, I used to want to see him race K.I.T. from Knightrider. I have always felt that KIT would lose...

Yes, unfortunately, K.I.T.T. would not be able to handle corners nearly as fast as Automan's car, so yeah, he would lose.

BTW, I shot a film on location in the home of the guy who did the voice for K.I.T.T. on 'Knightrider.' It was very surreal everytime he spoke to me. I just kept thinking, "I'm CANNOT BELIEVE I am speaking with K.I.T.T.!" And especially when he would address his son, whose name ironically is "Michael!" :)

"Lets pack up the daytona, and get the hell out of here!"

"Now losing auggey isnt no big deal, thats a hella of car you got there"

"I got a kid out there killing people with his car, although it seems he has only you and your crew in his sights"

I LOVE that movie. Id dig a turbo interceptor even now...even though it was a dodge :) I have it on dvd, it holds up pretty well. Much better than gi joe for me. I bought the box set of the cartoon...man, about 8 mins in I had to shut it off. Ive seen the wraith about 100 times though, so I knew what to expect.

This car was developed at Skunkworks. At night it can pull a fast 180 release a wall of fog then project onto that wall what its front mounted camera sees. It can also produce a wall of fog at 50% opacity and project a chain link fence. Any conspiricy theorist in the know has known about this car since shortly after the Philidelphia experiment...Ahem.

Ok, I did the compositing in After effects and the 3D car and glowing lights I did in Lightwave.

I wanted to shoot it on the DVX but the Sony TRV900 was a better choice.

Glad you guys liked it.

i think the car went unde thefence.... liek yo uknow it flexed up and the car slipped under.

ha ha...skunkworks project----

Good choice by them, take a mid 90's chevy corsica or beretta and use that as a test bot for out of this world technology.

Sports car? no way, give me a Chevy Beretta to do this with...ha ha. They shouldve went with a older ford taurus or something...

Either way-
Garden City PD? Garden City Long Island? or Garden City Kansas?
Too bad this wasnt a youtube type video with a responce of some sort...a bunch of kids with a dvx, and a high tech video projector terrorizing the local police depts.

Drama fest here we come!!!
