The Ghost Car

Whoah! That was interesting. You would think the police checked for any possible opening in that fence. I'm wondering if it was Charlie Sheen in "The Wraith." :)

There's about 4 people in existence that would get that reference.

I know how he did it, hasn't ever seen the old Batman series? Does nobody remember the holographic rock? HELLO!?

We know it's not a ghost (they don't drive Buicks). So there must be a logical answer. I'm thinking, as the first vehicle swerved out of frame left, he found an opening to the fenced area (got lucky) or actually hit the fence (you can see that the top of the fence drops down on the left if you slow down the video). When the cop car turned (a few seconds behind) he missed the opening and stopped at the fence (seeing the car drive away in the distance). He then just wrote it up as a ghost car. :) There might be more to the story then what we're seeing on the video. It makes for good TV so they don't tell us all the facts.

Still a great car chase. That guy really didn't want to be caught.

Actually to the right of the right pole there is no fence... LOL. It's not visible because of the police car's lights.

The cyclone fence in that video is much wider than the recommended 8' post to post. If the car had a sloping front end, it is possible that it could slide under the mesh in the middle.

Usually, there is a tensioning wire that runs along at the bottom, but the way this one looks to be installed, that might not even be there.
