The GH1 Hack Timeline

Just wondering, as I wasn't around here in the days of the GH1. I'm interested to know how the progress of the GH1 hack compares to the current progress of the GH2. So, a few questions to those in the know:

1. When the GH1's firmware was first acquired, was it encrypted (as with the Gh2)?
2. Did having GH1 firmware updates from Panasonic help at all? (i.e. if they released an updated firmware for the GH2 would it make the hacking process easier?)
3. If the GH1's firmware WAS encrypted, how long did it take to decrypt and how much money in total did the process cost?
4. How long did it take, from starting the dumping/exploration process to release of the hack? Did you start trying to hack the GH1 from the day it came out or was it some time later?

I realise that a lot of this stuff needs to be under the table, but if we as a community knew a rough timeframe, what kind of budget is required and any little things that we could do to help the process along, we might find be able to edge closer to getting a GH2 hack.

A lot of people seemed to have unrealistic expectations in Vitaliy's recent thread, it was as though they thought that we'd have a hack a few weeks after the GH2 was released! Hah! From what I know, it was about a year from the GH1 being released to a hack being released, and I daresay that the GH2 hack (if even possible) would be a similar timeframe.
