If you do ever make a film in The windy city make shure its like summer or christmas break because of school for me. :D

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

received and watched it, very nice, many shots looks like film. Nice colors, although I don't like so many color variation, but that is language and I respect your work !

Some shots looks over saturated, not sure if all displays can handle that.

I'd like to tell you that black borders in my 4x3 TV is gray as well. I have other commercial 16x9 DVD's here and the borders are black, not important, just a comment.

Congratulations !

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

Hey Nick I am going to start my film with some of my friends and enter it into the minidv film fest next year and was wondering if you wanted to help?

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

Danny - not sure that I have time to help right now - have my hands full with www.contractiraq.com and some of the other projects me and jarred have on the side...

however thanks for the offer...

I'm not sure about the gray borders - maybe that's something to do with illegal colors - my TV handles it fine - but on some TV's I've seen it look gray...

Slimothy -DVD's are 15.25 including shipping to North America..

Check out www.stealart.com for order details.

Nick Just To Let You Know I Am Giving You A Movie Title you might like. Its Called Personal Velocity and was shot in 2002 on a PAL Sony DSR-PD150! it looks very nice coming from the camera i own so. look into it. :D

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

I think I saw it a long time ago...but thanks for letting me know...

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

Personal Velocity was very nice.. those girls kicked ass with DV.

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

I agree! I have been searching all over the place to get the same settings that were aplied to the camera so i can get that look! ;)

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

I Just ordered the dvd and was curious what shutter speed was used to achieve the best filmish look. The trailer was great and very inspiring for me as a dvx user.

Thanks. J Jansson

Re: The first official DVXuser short film on DVD !

The shutter speed wasn't a major contributor to the film look (in fact I think the shutter speed was 1/48 for the majority of the filming)

The biggest contributors were the skill of the DP/camera team...
