The Eye Camera

Wonder what's gonna happen to his brain with all of those signals running RIGHT through his lobes.

He's sure to be the best camera op in the world, though.

Just has an eye for composition...

Wonder if James Cameron is gonna hire him for Avatar. At least he comes with his gear.

Careful. This will appear in the forum's DIY section soon

and we'll see Kholi walking around like this

Hahaha!

I hope this guy is an interesting person. You know?

I think recording what someone sees would be very boring. Very few people I know would have an exciting enough life to make a movie from what they experience.

I hope this guy likes excitement, reckless living, and other interesting facets of life.

PS: He has already told the world that he has a camera eye on the way. Not like the covertness of the whole matter is kept.

Unless he hangs around a new group of strangers, his closest friends and family will already act differently around him.

Something he should announce AFTER he makes the film.

Eventually though, wouldn't it just make more sense to tap directly into the optic nerve and convert the signal to a good codec?

Careful. This will appear in the forum's DIY section soon.

But what about DoF, low light levels, zoom? Can someone make an interchangeable eye-mount? How much to get an SDHC card slot installed in the back of my head? Now instead of selling our old cameras on ebay and the marketplace here, we'll need surgery to upgrade.

At least RED could make a killer eye-cam and call it the RED EYE. If they can make it so that it glows red like the terminator's eyes then they win the camera wars. Actually, now that I think about it, it would look silly having one normal eye and one glowing red one. So why not have both eyes replaced so that you look even cooler and can shoot in 3-D? The thing that would really suck would be doing those car mounted shots. I'm not sure I'd want to be strapped to the side of a moving vehicle.

I hope this guy likes excitement, reckless living, and other interesting facets of life.

Kinda makes me think of the film Strange Days.
