Hey so this is my second attempt at a short. Got some friends together for a day and thankfully they were quite cooperative and well, generous. I found the time constraints quite suffocating, especially when it came to sunlight. Still, we made something! I ended up chopping out quite a bit of stuff that turned out to be a bit unnecessary and/or I screwed up the shots. Oh had I known I was never going to use that stuff...oh well, live and learn.
It's technically not fully finished, but my computer broke down a while back and I live in the middle of nowhere in Japan, so it'll be a while before I get it fixed. There's a brief temporary voice at the start and some sound effects have to be added like rustling, crunching and some groaning. Also, the in-smartphone camera moment is something I need to fix, because the video was converted and the quality is too poor.
Anyway, I've just been sitting on an uploaded cut for months now and figure it's complete enough to get some feedback. I'm curious as to whether the sound levels are ok? On my headphones everything is fine, but when I play the video on my crappy laptop it's a bit messed up.
If anyone's interested, the costume was an adapted cosplay costume. Did you know that you can buy all sorts of North Korean military badges on ebay?! Bizarre...
