Well, it's been a couple of years since we made our first feature, the $6,000 drama/thriller, Bad is Bad, which has so far managed to:
-get around 25k worth of views from Vimeo and Youtube
-pick up a number of great reviews online
-get into a couple of film fests (so far)

If you haven't seen that movie yet, you can check it out here -

Or on the film's website at - http://badisbad.com

Anyway, now it's time for our next entry into the world of micro budget filmmaking - The Entitled.

This new project has a similar budget to our last feature, but the scale is about 3 or 4 times bigger. That means more locations, characters, action, and story. We will be shooting on the 60d with Magic Lantern, as opposed to the 7d (which we shot our last feature on).

We are on the third draft of the script for The Entitled, with a number of very talented actors cast, locations found, etc, and now we're trying to crowdfund the film so that we can shoot this summer.

Check out the film's Kickstarter page for a teaser of the movie and let me know what you think!

We're giving away some cool rewards for pledges, including a HD download and special thanks in the credits for $15. You also get to see the movie a year before anyone else (while it's on the film fest circuit), so please donate if you want to see this movie, or just see this movie get made!

I'll be adding more info and content to this post as the project develops. It's going to be quite an adventure!

Here's a separate link to the sizzle reel we shot for the film, now in glorious 720p!

This was shot on the 60d using a Glidecam HD 1000. No additional lighting was used in the exteriors.
What do you guys think?

OK, since I already tweeted about your video but didn't notice this before, here's a totally out there tangential question I just have to ask. I imagine there's just some dorky story behind it being on a shelf at somebody's house or something, but why is that little sculpture on its side your company logo/banner? It's a really specific style from a very small area of northern Australia and I just happened to have spent 5 years managing the art centre they're sold from. If it was bought between 2004 & 2009, chances are good I actually handled the thing. So it's pretty bizarre to see it in this context!

Just finished watching Bad is Bad. Top notch acting. Chris Fornataro is one awesome actor. Love his intensity. Good luck with your upcoming project. Poor artist here so I can't put much in but you guys got my backing!

Thanks so much softdrinks! You're going to love Chris's character in The Entitled for sure.

And Randin, that is bizarre! I'm actually half-Aussie, and I picked up the statue in Sydney the last time I was there visiting relatives (2001). The reason it's our logo is because we used it as the main plot element in our first serious film project (it was a cursed Native American carving in the movie). Freaky coincidence though!

We hit $4,000 today! Still a long way to go though.

Here are some outtakes from the pitch video I threw together-
