I just checked out some of your work; bravo. Love it.

Run Rabbit Run was great stuff; how sad. I look forward to your egg short.

How was the Rabbit shot? Format?

good lord the great john hudson likes my work.

thanks man, thats rad.

run rabbit run was shot on a canon XM1 !! running straight down a firewire into my old machine where i was capturing frame by frame using time lapse.

we originally had a scene with a pub and SAS lego men and I had all my camera and whole computer set up in there haha.

silly boys.

Im not sure if im gonna do horror now, Im doing a lot of rock videos and people might start to think thats all I do. Ill wait to see EP7.

:D

i think this is a really good idea, exciting stuff guys.

Justin, no worries, Barry S said he would host all the videos on DVXFEST.com. Thanks Barry !

Justin, send me an email to mindlessbullfrog@gmail.com and I will add you to the list

that goes for everyone else who's interested as well !

take care

Where do i sign up? Which episode is "left"? I also think there should be a time limit so that people at the end of the list don't have to wait the next 17 months to do something.

one last thing, to keep things moving, each filmmaker will be allowed up to one week to complete and upload a new episode, but I say, pump these out as soon as you become inspired by an idea so the concept doesn't become stagnant !

RGD, I think we need a cutoff of how many people can join. At least for this one...

I'd like to see more of these once this is done, who knows we might eventually be able to put together a "DVXuser Productions" where we're actually working on a script with different members doing different scenes or acts (of course there'd need to be continuity between actors and stuff). Camera settings could be worked out so that everyone has the same "look", but until then I like how this is going. Can't wait to see episode 2 :)

Donde esta PVX DVX ? He is supposed to have episode 2 finished today so the 3rd filmmaker can get started.

Ok peoples, I set up a subdomain called egg.dvxfest.com where the project can live. There's no page yet, but I should have something up this weekend. When you complete your films, FTP them to egg@dvxfest.com, PW=eggfilm, and message me to let me know something new has been uploaded so I can add a link.

thanks Barry ! Can we FTP right from dvxuser.com or do we have to use an FTP tool such a fetch ? Please let us know. Excuse me for being ignorant

You'll need some sort of FTP program running on your computer to transfer files. Google freeware FTP client or something like that to find a program.

So how long are we suppose to wait? Something tells me this is going to take a long time, especially if people don't know when it's their turn.

Every filmmaker gets at most one week to complete their short. That's more than enough time. It all depends on the filmmaker really. If they pump theirs out in one day then the next person can get it quicker. I like the idea of streamlining this so things can be made as soon as a filmmaker is finished watching the episode before them. PDX DVX has until tomorrow night to finish his episode II as it has been a week. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow then episode II will go to KEEGS. I hope PDX finishes his so we can get this moving faster. Maybe I should shorten it to a 5 day deadline ? I figured a week was long enough for a 60 second shoot even for someone with a job.

Oh yeah, I've recieved everyones email that wants to be added to the list. I will update the list once we get episode II and you guys will be included.

thanks

I'm sure things'll pick up after a few episodes. Its an interesting concept that I think forces you to come up with something creative almost on the fly, which reminds me of one of my first short films. I wanted to do something about an item that, for reasons unknown, everybody was dying to get their hands on :) My buddies and I chose a tripod and we spent an afternoon going from place to place and ended up with a nice short (but lately the avi has been messed up so I cant watch it anymore :( ). But anyways, keep this up guys!
