This thing is bigger than anyone thought. Today on the CNN Entertainment Report they were spreading the heartbreaking news about PK's one-day delay and rendering woes.
Because of time restraints, some of the chickens funniest lines had to be cut. (That was a difficult phonecall.) Not to mention a steamy egg love scene. How do eggs make love? Two ways; scrambled or sunny side up. BA DA BOOM!! Be sure and tip your waitresses.
Oh WOW. That was AWESOME PK! So many little touches that just rocked!
The dog statues were great -- just seeing you walk around Thailand with a picture of a chicken was hilarious. The FX work is the best yet. Loved the Terminator style arrival. All the rack focus work in the auditorium was a great touch... as was the egg shaped seal on the podium and the egg walking down the aisle with popcorn during your speech. GREAT STUFF! You even managed to clean up the egg and return it to its pure form. Whoever goes next should thank you for that.
You just raised the bar by about 221 notches. That is the best one yet; creative with a awesome story. You had so many moments where I was laughing my arse off. When the camera pans up to reveal the sniper assasin I almost fell out of my chair. Just the whole thing was first rate.
I particaulry noticed you had some sound design going as well; that was nice. Bravo!!!
P.K.
Awesome man, I laughed and I cried, then I laughed again. Especially at the Eggsasin. The whole thing was superb thanks for jumping on board. You didn’t disappoint. You eggcelled.
Thanks for the kind words too. I like weird, I am weird, I hope.
J.P.
Thanks a lot everyone. Glad you enjoyed it. It won't win any festivals but sometimes you just gotta do one for the art and passion! Besides, running around acting like a chicken, has solidified my reputation as being the town freak. Before it was just a rumor.
Those dog statues are the craziest things. There's dozens of them surrounding an elephant statue. The dogs are driving cars, drinking, playing poker (seriously), and even holding guns. It was perfect for a Canine Invasion plot. Then there's a statue of a giant egg about to be squashed by a mallet. It's like the builders of this park foresaw the great battle between egg and dog.
What about the Easter egg? Did that joke fall flat?
Thanks again for the positive strokes. My eggo is at an all-time high.
Every new episode turns out to be my new favorite.. I love them all though. Pssst, by the way guys, please don't claim future episodes in the egg thread until a filmmaker has completed and linked his current episode. We're getting people claiming future episodes before they're even finished ! thanks all
Oh no, the Easter egg did not fall flat. I purposely didn't mention it b/c I thought "hang on there Owen, if you say much more you might as well just stop typing your favorite parts and just say you loved the whole thing"
rgdfilms - Thanks. You got this egg rolling. Now you've gotta deal with the consequences!
It's great how you can see each filmmakers style and personality in each short video. Although, I'll admit, Owen's surprised me. Everybdy else has made videos that fits their online persona fairly well, BUT after watching the Sugar Dumpling Gang trailers I never imagined him doing an intergalactic sock-puppet video. (There I go stereotyping again.) So, Owen, which videos represent your personality the most, the space-puppet or the Sugar Dumpling Gang? Something tells me the answer is, "both."
This reference was subtle, but Citizen Kane was a huge influence for Episode 7. Look and see.
I tried to match the font and the hand raising. Again, it's not done very well and hardly noticeable, but thought you film buffs would want to know how many films I stole from. Since I'm incapable of having an original thought.
