The DVX still rocks

For any DVX users out there fretting about whether you need to upgrade to HD: The DVX still rocks.
Take it from someone who has been shooting with an HVX200a for a while now. I still miss my DVX!

The HV20s, 30s and so on have great image quality, but for someone starting out, my advice would be that it's vastly more valuable to get accustomed to composing shots with all manual controls, which are far more intuitive and accessible on a DVX.

Just my two bits!

yep, I had this same question a week ago.. and finally decided on the DVX.. it feels so much better to now be focusing on the script and important stuff rather than what camera to get.

I have to rent a DVX for an upcoming shoot. The DVX is the preferred choice over the HVX in this case, since the equipment (adapters) are already prepared for it and delivery is on tape anyway. So no, not dead.

Now to find someone I can rent it from...
