No... each country has their own Panasonic marketing division. This bundle offer is being run by the USA division.

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and haven't yet gotten a DVX100...
I'm an event videographer for our local cable company and was recently offered a contract to record the 50th Anniversary events that will be taking place in out fair City...the contract allows me to get a new set of gear to do the job, as doing it with the set I have from my employer would cause a conflict of interest...

I've been researching which camcorder to get...I presently use an older Canon XL1...like it for what I do with it, but for a camcorder of my own, I think I'm going to go with the DVX100a...

Does this deal with the book and the disk apply in Canada also? Looking at getting my gear from Vistek in Toronto...

Gee, I wish the folks at Panny France were like that... They haven't even gotten around to officially importing the MQ tapes into this country ! >:(

Sony so has the lion's share here that my cousin, who's been a professional ENG cameraman for five years, hadn't even heard of the DVX100... (sigh::sob)

Jan, will you please consider moving to Paris ? We need you here !! ;)

The back cover of the new MovieMaker magazine (Daniel Day Lewis front) features a Panasonic ad with Barry's name and a small graphic of The DVX Book/DVD.

Not too shabby, Barry.

I saw a preview of that ad... that's cool that it's running! Not looking for getting on a payroll though, I like being able to move to different projects, and I like being able to advocate for which product I think is best, not just which product panasonic (or whoever the employer would be) produces... :)

Also a big applaud to Jan and Panasonic for listening and caring.  This is why the DVX100A is the camera to have!

Does anyone know when the DVX100A and Serious Magic DV Rack bundle will be released? I am under the impression that it will be sometime in January

Also, will that have any impact on the price?

I am about to purchase the DVX100A and DV Rack, but I’d just as soon wait if I can get DV Rack for free, or at least at a significant discount.

The DV Rack will not be for free. The package will include the DVX100A, the DV Rack, a new case that I designed with Kata, that I think is the bees knees as you can keep all the trappings on the DVX, and one of the 5400mA batteries. I am just finalizing the pricing, And then there is the work of Marketing bulletin and the rest, so probably wil announce in February, which is what I said in the last thread where this came up.

Bery I used your bood and dvd you know what I got a ext. producer who is investing my feature as well short film thanks and great job. BTW ask Jan she seen my pre production teaser. Wow now u become imortal ... :D

Fantastic! (not that I would take any of the credit, it's almost certainly your talent that got you the deal, but if there was anything that I helped you with, I'm just glad to have helped). Congratulations to you -- hope you make a great film! Keep us posted on the progress.

None. The book bundling deal only started in this month, so people who bought in January 2005 (and after) are eligible.

Damn you America! ;D When I get my DVX, probably in around July, I won't be able to get in on the sweet book, bullet and DVX deal because I'm in PAL-Land. :'(

Ask your local Panasonic rep to contact me.  I've done a bundle deal with Panasonic USA and also a promo with Panasonic UK, so I'd love to work with as many Panasonic territories as possible! ;D
