These are some high res color corrected frames from the latest short film I DP'd, which is a parody of The Departed. The film was produced by 19th & Wilson (www.19w.com) Shot with the HVX stock lens. I recently shot a film with the M2. It really puts extra noise on top of a camera thats already noisey, so I decided to go without it on this one. All posting done in AE 6.5 Pro.

Is it just me or does everything have an extremely smooth look to it? Almost like you did noise reduction but took it too far? Nice images though. ;)

Yeah, these grabs are almost moving into the pla-dough smooth territory.

Timur got clean images with the HVX/SGPro. Check out the link in my sig where he talks about workflow.

Yeah, they look a little "airbrushed". I like me a little grain in my images. I think if you take a close look at lots of stuff shot on film you'd be surprised at the similar amount of "noise" you see on video cameras.

I must agree, it looks like a video. And I love the HVX, and never seen footage looking like this.
