The Dark Knight

NO they aren't the only extras. There is plenty. I wish there was more on Two-Face and his VFX...but there really isn't anything. There is barely anything on The Joker either as a character or Heath's performance. Other than that they cover things extensively. All the work to get those sequences shot in Imax...wow.

"There is only 4 IMAX cameras in the world...now there's 3.....oops." :P

The question was never "would it break the record," it was always "by how much."

Add to the Bluray sales whatever the DVD sales were, and you have a much higher number. :)

600,000 including the Blu Ray. Blu Ray was about 150,000 of those sales.

The sales should factor out to above 2.4Million for Blu Ray copies and above 4.4 for Standard Definition DVD sales.

With the Blu Ray going for 24.99 at most retailers and the standard def DVD 18.99.

Has to be a rumor, IMO.

Nolan has openly said he will never use Robin in the film series.

Plus, the article says that Ledger has been nominated for awards in his portrayal of the Joker in "Batman Returns".... if they don't even know which movie they're talking about, I'll take it with a grain of salt...

Eddie Murphy as the Riddler? *Shudder*

It does?

Nolan had been tight-lipped about the future of the Batman films after being rocked by the January death of HEATH LEDGER — tipped to receive a posthumous Oscar for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight.

Maybe someone caught the error.

Maybe someone caught the error.

someone must've caught the error... i laughed out loud for five minutes when I read "Batman Returns" last night...

either way, Nolan has said he hasn't even signed on for another movie.

If he made a third film, it would be for no reason but the continuation of story. He is currently looking into where the story would go and if it needs to go there. He maintained that it's very hard to make a movie of this scale (and specified he wasn't asking for our sympathy, drawing a laugh from the crowd) - it's two hard years and you gotta love it. One of his biggest fears is getting halfway through making a film and realizing it's unnecessary and he doesn't want to make it anymore. If there is a third story that needs to be told, there will be a third film, but nothing is set in stone or a given.

Hmmm... A whole 5 years rebooting Batman to fit your idea, not to mention how much money went into these two films, and there might not be a 3rd? Yeah, until they wave the right amount of green.

I just got TDK last night, and it was pretty good. Getting closer in some ways to what I wanted to see though.
