The Dark Knight

Nothing is certain until we hear the official word from Nolan and Co.
I mean fu<k its been almost 2 months since this film came out and destroyed box office records.

We all want a 3rd film BADLY, but all the speculation can get out of hand. I mean Fu<k all the Riddler/Penguin rumors got a boost Because of the Michael Caine interview.

I think we're all better off admiring the film for managing to give us all what we wanted...minus the very end of Two faces character arc. S"why I gave the film a 9/10 instead of a 9.5/10.

But thats just me, lets all be patient and Hope that Nolan and Co make the choice to finish this trilogy and give us a thrilling end to this story arc in Gothams Rebirth.

Im really bummed to hear that...He is by far one of my favorite villains, i feel like he has been undervalued by Nolan.

Oh well I still am excited to see which villains they choose for the next one....Riddler? thats what im hoping now atleast.

I read somewhere that they were attempting to cast Angelina Jolie as Catwoman for the third movie... just a rumor, and no confirmations, but that's the best anyone can really do at this point... rumors

Cute, but no Fan made Propeganda please. :(..Meagan Fox as Catwoman? How about someone who can act instead.

Agreed. The way casting has gone so far, I think Nolan would commit franchise suicide if he casted angelina jolie or megan fox. Then again, I said "what the f--k!" when I first heard about Heath Ledger as Joker. So they might be able to really submit to the role and shed usual expectations.

My, (off the top of my head) nominee for catwoman:

Claire Forlani (although I haven't seen her much recently.... )

Got the Blu-ray yesterday... wow... simply stunning film, amazing transfer... and just as good as I remembered.

Got my copy last friday, its nice but damn i wish Warner would up their game. IMO their trailing behind in terms of PQ and AQ compared to the other studios yet they have the biggest library of films.

Agreed. Major complaints of too much Digital Noise Reduction and heavy use of Edge Enhancement. They have the screen grabs to back it up over at AVS as well.

Of course, they are Home theater enthusiasts. :)

It was kinda soft in places but i don't really trust AVS. They had a thread on how Baraka was full of EE + DNR but to me that was (and is) one of the best BD releases.

Still TDK is miles better than the DVD, it would be interesting to see how Sony or Disney would have handled the transfer.

The focus is on the Joker's hand. See the slight white halo surrounding his writing hand? That's EE. It's used throughout the film.

There's no need for it. And when you are projecting at over 100" on a HD projector, it's easier to spot.

Well, if they have the direct screen grabs to back it up there's really no argument.

Some studios go crazy with EE and there's really no need.
Don't forget, some of these guys are comparing it to the original film.

How's the extra features on the Disc guys, I read an article saying how the Studio was really stingy on the special features. Not even a Director's commentary... the reason for the commentary part I think they said, Nolan was too busy... but still... I love my DVD's with a bulk of added stuff.

But knowing how the studios operate, their probably saving a chunk of bonus features for another release down the future, bastards.

I actually saw edge enhancement on the IMAX version of Matrix Reloaded in the theater.
