The Dark Knight

About 7 hours left until I'll be sitting in the IMAX. The midnight showing was sold out, so I had to settle for the 3am.
 
Just got back from the film.

Awesome! The cinematography was amazing. I hope it'll get nominated like Batman Begins did.

The Joker was bad ass.

Great comic book movie.

Just got back from seeing it.
It lives up to the hype. I am not one to jump on any bandwagons but this movie really is extremely good. Heath Ledger should at the least get nominated for his performance. and not because of his tragic story. He deserves a Nom for a flawless portrayal of a pyschopath. The movie is long but every part of it works. Two Face looks amazing and he is in it more than I thought he would be. and the scope of this film is incredible. Nolan has not made a bad film yet and This continues his run. But The Joker is Best in Show IMO. To me it felt more like The Departed or The Untouchables than a Comic Book Movie. But great nonetheless. I really need to see it in IMAX. The best movie this summer by far.
 
Wow! I can't even believe how good it was. Heath was just phenomenal. Filthrich is right it felt like a amazing crime drama wrapped in a DC comic which is a good thing.

If thier is one thing you do this weekend see this film!
 
Excellent film. There isn't much I can to anyone else's comments. Ledger was outstanding. It's a shame he passed on, but what a performance to go out with. Far far far far far better than Nicholson. Don't get me wrong, I love Jack Nicholson, but his Joker, although memorable and respectable, was a far cry from Ledger's take on the character. The cinematography was great. Although the film is nearly 2 1/2 hours long, it never dragged, I felt. Definitely not a disappointment.
 
It was definitely better than I had expected, though the projector died twice during the previews, and then again at about 1h45m into the film. There were plenty of people who were upset at that -- though we all got free passes to a future film.
 
Anyone else love the disappearing pencil trick? I think I'll have to try that at a party. I think a crowd of people would get a kick out of it. Be a good way to kill a couple of minutes.

The Joker was a complete nut case, Plain and simple.
