The Dark Knight

Speaking of G Force in a Batman thread... In the Gotham Knight, each segment is animated by different artists in different styles. There is one story where Batman looks almost like G Force's villain... what was his name? Zoltar?

Zoltar!! Yes! I miss those days. Eating Fruity Pebbles with my Superman Draws on sitting in front of the TV. Now my kids do exactly that. Until I make them get off their asses and go outside and play.

If you liked the show, you should love the animated feature. From what I have seen they really outdid themselves on the art.

Have you heard the rumors that Bale says he'll walk if they try to bring in Robin? He don't think too highly of himself, does he?

Am I the only one who thinks this movie looks exactly the same as the first? Granted it's got the Joker. But visually, SFX-wise, production-wise, there's nothing new. I hope it's a great story.

Oh, but at least they got rid of Katie Holmes. Man was she awful.

I've said it before, I'm not a huge fan of this series. Bale is so-so, and they seem to focus more on the toys than the character.

Hmm I haven't heard that, I have alot of respect for Bale so that would be a bit of a disapointment.

I saw Gotham Knight. It was like the Animatrix in that it was many little stories combined into about 70 minutes. I thought it was ok, so stories being stronger then others. Personally, it didn't reveal anything that will happen in the second movie, unless there is a large feud between Russian's and Italians. It was entertaining to watch, but the real reason I watched it, to see the movie in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, was lacking.

What he said is, "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work."

What?! Have you even seen the same movie as I did? The Tumbler was less then 6 minutes in a movie that runs 2:14 hrs. They definately focussed on characters unlike the Burton Films.

And he's damn right. Batman/Bruce Wayne is such a rich character as it is, don't clutter the film by adding a crappy sidekick aside from villain(s).

Yeah, I saw the same movie. The buzz was centered around the Tumbler 6 months before they finished shooting, and most of the commercials were pretty Tumbler heavy.

You look at the new Theater standees, and what do you see? Clear as day you see that stupid BatBike, and Batman happens to just be visible on the back of it. What are the big action scenes in the new commercials? Plenty of scenes featuring afore mentioned stupid looking BatBike. As far as Bale, he is a good actor, but not very interesting. In 3:10 to Yuma, I actually liked the villain, he had personality. He was on his way to be executed, and never was he mopey and pouty, which happens to be Bale's only character personality.

But, I guess this is just my opinion alone.

I read an interview a while back where Nolan said Robin is a baby in a crib somewhere, so no worries he wont be showing up.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but every review I heard this week is a major rave saying that this one is possibly the best comic book film ever made. Also many comments about Heath Ledger getting a nomination not out of sympathy but because he's brilliant and deserves it. In the trailer he looks awesome.

Can't wait!
