Just saw this documentary and thought it was really good. I got it from Netflix.

The Cutting Edge: The Magic of Movie Editing

While actors and directors certainly are instrumental in making a movie memorable and weaving story lines together, it's the film editor who strings the scenes into a seamless, artistic whole. This fascinating movie, narrated by Academy Award winner Kathy Bates, unmasks the mystery of film editing with the help of such fine examples of the art form as Birth of a Nation, The Battleship Potemkin and Bullitt (from Netflix description).

I liked the movie. It was pretty much for a general audience, but it was cool watching Walter Murch edit standing up. I also liked the way that he uses printed grabs from each take, pinned too a wall to orgainize his work.
