The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I cannot wait to see this, when i went to go see iron man, it was INDY4, TDK and this.... i have to say, although i was in love with the other two.... this just put my mind on it.... so beautifully cut and just shot, it all blew me away....

it made iron even better since i saw that trailer
 
I'm 100% in on this one. Great trailer. Hope the film has as much substance as it suggests.

Wow...that looks amazing! I just wrote a post yesterday about how HD still has a way to go to emulate 35mm...but that looks pretty close! I mean ZODIAC looked good but it still had a murky, videoish quality in some parts, but this looks great. I can't believe it's the same camera they used on Collateral.

How does it look on the big screen? Would you have known it was HD? Looks to me to be the contender for best looking digital flick yet made.

I've watched the 1080p trailer about a 100 times and never thought it was digital for a second. I'm no pro at telling the difference, so that doesn't say very much, but it is impressive nonetheless.
 
I'm so excited to see this. When I first saw the youtubed spanish version of the trailer, my jaw nearly hit the floor. The CGI face-graft/body molding is astonishing, and the cinematography coupled with the opening piece from Days of Heaven made me feel a genuine chill up my spine.

This is how I still feel about Zodiac. I cannot believe that film was shot 100% digital. It moves and feels so much more like 24 fps film than video.
 
just got back from watching this and well all I can say is wow, for a family man like myself this movie inspires you in so many ways, besides the beautiful technical stuff related to the film, the stoty is forever beautiful, fincher as managed to be one of the most diverse and exacting directors that I have the pleasure of admiring, I cannot belive this is the same guy that made seven, I wont go into details into the cinematography because its on a new class of its own, whatever you do go see it, its 3 hours long, but manages to keep your attention every minute, as a final note for all my fellow geeks out there I had to remind myself that this movie was shot on a viper cam in HD and edited on FCP....:) very insipring
 
I have follow the production of this movie for 2 years and am going to see it tonight with family.

Can't wait!

I do know that at one time it was over 3 1/2 hours long and was almost impossible for them to get it cut to a little under 3 hours. (too much good stuff)

Don't wait up for my review, I'll be at a Holiday cocktail party after but will post something Fri. :)
