So here's a silly little short I recently did. Some background info first:
In 2008, myself and a friend produced a short film called "The Cube" as an entry for the MTV Movie Spoof Contest. A cross between Disturbia and Transformers, that short was produced in 24 hours.
Eight years later, I decided to remake the short by myself, to prove that if you want to make movies, just make movies, even if you have nobody else to help. The Cube remake was shot in two hours with the URSA Mini 4K and an Audio Technica mic. Post production took two weeks and consisted of an edit in Avid, VFX with Blender and Nuke, audio in Pro Tools, and a final grade in Resolve.
Part of the fun of remaking an old short was changing things up a bit, including the punchlines and VFX. But the basic concept remained unchanged, that Optimus Prime enters Disturbia in search of the Cube and annoys the human to no end.
