The Crazies (2010)

Had a chance to see an advanced screening of 'The Crazies' this week. I have to say that I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's far from perfect but it was an enjoyable flick overall.
I did find myself constantly saying... "Why the poo poo does he keep leaving his wife all alone!??" but aside from that it was pretty fun.

Definitely a good rental or a cheap night outing.
The crowd loved it for sure. Plenty of screams and even the odd bit of applause for a few death scenes.

I may go see the original tonight at a late screening after the hockey game.

Although I've seen some pretty young kids in some pretty bad movies.

I found it hard to believe that this from the same guy who directed Sahara. For a horror/zombie-ish genre piece, it's surprisingly smart and imaginative. It's not for everyone, but I'd recommend it if you're into the genre.
