New web site address, but best of all lots of space so I uploaded a 29mb and 129 mb file all footage is 24p advanced shot with the anamorphic lens, the footage up right now is some raw unedited footage of a couple of scenes. More later.

Re: The Complex Updated!

I liked it a LOT! Good composition. I would have centralized the CU but again that's my taste. The nightshots are GREAT! The sound in the other hand is not that great... well... it might be the compression you used for your clip that contributed to the talking-inside-the-tin-can feel...

Re: The Complex Updated!

Looks so good! How long was your jib and what type of rigs did you guys use? Man..Lighting is supurb along with the talent...all very good!!!! ;D ;D

Re: The Complex Updated!

custom built dolly, with a 40ft track. Also a custom 12 foot jib arm. I know the audio sucks because of the compression and I will be fixing much of the audio in post (5.1 mix). We used hmi lights for most of the exterrior night shoots and kino's for a lot of the interrior shots as well.
Thanks for your input.

Re: The Complex Updated!

Pretty bold to put your daily's up like that. What's your budget on this thing? And is it a short or a feature?

Weird compression on the sound. Was coming out of my left speaker only. But I'm guessing you already know that now... :)

Re: The Complex Updated!

I like it! Looks like a pretty big production, and for all custom built dollies, etc., it's pretty amazing. Lighting was also very good, acting was OK.

For anyone that wishes they had raw footage to edit, you can take some of this and practice. I like the fact you released your dailies, you can see more of what the director was thinking.

One question, did you use a steadycam in the scene of chasing the guy next to the garbage cans? And if so, how did your cameraman make it past without hitting the garbage cans himself?

Re: The Complex Updated!

actually the shot by the cans was hand held and my camera man was able to avoid the cans on most of the takes. Feature length (85min) budget of around 10k.
thanks for the comments.

Re: The Complex Updated!

Straight to DVD kind of deal and if so, when you think they will be availbale? Thanks!
