The Click!!!

Now now... I know all of you are getting ready to bash the newbie about "the click" he hears when his camera is off... I know that's the image stabilizer, and that's not my problem. My problem is a different click that I hear in the viewfinder, both when the camera is on or off. I have a 100B, and I need to know if this is atypical. I remember reading a post about a week and a half ago about somebody with the same problem, and I believe that person ended up sending his camera back. Sadly, I cannot remember, and I cannot find the post.

So, some help please?

Hi matthew,
I have a dvx-100b too and I just read your post. So I tested mine and yes it does click. But when you adjust the VF diopter dial it should stop (the little wheel on the Viewfinder). Hope that helps!

Hey...that was me and yes i did send the camera back. Unfortunately i still have not got another camera back...and its disheartening to know that yours also clicks. I hope its not something thats wrong with all of them. I found that when i tightened the dial on the viewfinder focus all the way up to where its completely out of focus, the click would go away. Was this similar in yours? And also....i ordered my from B&H...did you?

Sorry i couldnt be more help. Is there anyone else that has a 100B that could comment? This is somewhat still an unresolved problem for me as well.

Haha....yes i can wear my new DVXuser hoodie whilst clunkedly filming away with the DVX100B. :thumbup:
 
Just got an email from B&H....and they said:

"The Panasonic DVX100B is on BACK ORDER."

So...i guess i'll be waiting a bit. DAmn.
