The Christmas Nightmare

I'm shooting a 20 minute $0 budget film based on a short I made back in 2007. This thread will basically be my production diary. I'm planning to submit this to many festivals and I am releasing a DVD with about 30 minutes of BTS. I will write/direct/edit/shoot the film. No professional actors just my friends. Right now I am still in the writing process. Should have some test footage up soon. The short will all be shot on the DVX100b and chopped in FCP.

Oh I forgot to mention this short is a action comedy.

It's basically going to be serious through the whole short and I am going to try to keep the intensity high, but at the same time, I'm trying to parody all of the action clichés.

The film will have a very film-noir look to it. Almost desaturated. Here is a lighting/color correction test I did.

I used a dark blue sheet as the backdrop.

I'm planning to put a lot of these hard lighting set ups in the film along with very minimal backgrounds.
