The chase

Someone I know (on another user group) just had his DVD released and it's already bootlegged on Eastern European websites. So whether or not to stream a whole movie on the internet is problematical.

Unless someone wants fame :-)
 
would you agree that download and non-exclusive deals with websites such as CreateSpace > Amazon are the best ways to monetize a movie?

if you're shooting a movie alone (by choice :-) and your budget is out of pocket, sometimes you have to consider that the cost of all the festivals (that don't generate any money) and the time it takes for an agent or distributor to market the movie (usually about 18 months) aren't worth the wait, and it's just best to get on with it and release the movie through DVD and Internet download without any further ado.
