The Burn Book Grabs

Here's some grabs from our new short The Burn Book which deals with teen's who are on the edge. I apologize for the bad compression and I had to brighten some of these because they were showing up dark on PC as compared to Mac and NTSC broadcast monitor. So they make look terrible on your screen.

I like the compostion of these. Many of the shots are a little grey, a few more higlights on the faces would help.

It looks very interesting thought. Any clips yet?

Nice grabs, the one at the bottom of the kid upset really has emotion flowing from it. Good job, so whens this come out?
 
The movie should be done in about a month. Still have some edits to do and color correction and sound/edit mix.

Chris, are you on a mac or pc? I brightened them because of the PC appearing dark. But even despite the PC issue, are you saying you would like to see more contrast overall when we go to do color correction?

Yes, the actress in the last scene really delivered. Right now we're trying to figure out music because the film has an odd flow to it and the music is going to be key to driving it with the various extremes of emotion.

The lighting in all these shots is very good, the content however, (PSAs) make me want to do drugs!
 
It's not based on the book The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon. However, the subject matter of the film does have some basis in reality. By the way, Runyon's book seems interesting and I might give it a read. Wonder if anyone has optioned the rights to it yet.

There was some influence from Mean Girls, and from real burn book journals. Creepy stuff. Keep an eye out for a trailer which should be out within a month. Steve
