Hey, everyone.

A few months ago we posted a teaser/trailer to a 5-minute sitcom that we shot. We were given a very, very warm reception by you all, so we figured we'd now post the Pilot -- completed as of this Monday.

IT was shot on the HVX200 -- but we didn't use the P2 cards (no money at that time, no P2 cards, etc.) We have them now and the next episode will be in HD. The other specs, Justin (another DVXuser) can let you know!

Anyway, here's the four parts of the Pilot:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9dlMkOFCzE
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPT6EOkvpI0
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2qBd6euq1g
Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhiVE8REPVI

If you guys like it, please, please, please rate it/comment/favorite it on YouTube. We've gotten 9 honors so far, and are trying desperately to get a feature on YouTube.

Thanks for your help and we hope you like it!!

Its very funny indeed, I thought I was going to hate it but I was surprised by how good the comedy and acting is.
Well done.
Can't wait to see how it looks in HD !

I had to edit this comment a few times. Just wanted to say, kudos, great job. Really reminded me of Arrested Development. Whatever you do, don't sell this show to Fox. They'll push you around in their schedule to feature baseball playoffs, and by november sweeps noone will know when the hell you're on.

Rock on dude, great stuff.

Really good stuff. I really enjoyed it. Who did the AE work? I have some questions for them!

:)

KEep it up!

This was very good. I would definitely watch this. Though I would recommend shortening the episode down to 25 minute run time. It kind of lost some steam towards the end. Shortening it would make it tighter and possibly work better.

It was long specifically for the Pilot release. The next two episodes will be 20-25 minutes long.

But thank you!

Hey Greeches, A buddy of mine and I did all the graphic work and editing for the show. But if by AE you mean the actual program "After Effects" we did all the effects in Final Cut.

i would watch this, and I think a lot of other people would too. the funny details are what got me, like everything about that boom operator, as well as the whole scale being thrown at the actress. brilliant

who was this pilot intended for? I laughed, and it worked for the most part... I donno if all of the acting is there...some of it was very good, some of it I dont think flowed...some of it really did though. Specfically on the camera work I donno about the jerky zooms, I get it was as style and w/e but after awhile all of the quck camera moves and jerky zooms started to get to me. I also think the lighting could use some work as there were alot of wall shadows that felt out of place but it wasnt too bad. overall the production value just wasnt there for a pilot for a major network or something liek that but im assuming thats not your plan. for something on you tube its top notch.

wow, who needs to pay for access to half-baked tv shows these days, the web is getting good for low budget material this was real funny, i really enjoyed it! One thing tho, i would say you need to end the episode with a laugh, something real funny, the last thing you remember about anything (or at least with me) is the last 5 minutes or so, for a sitcom, if you end with something really funny, its that that sticks in your head. other than that, i really enjoyed it, im looking forward to seeing future episodes! is their a web page or something for this? would love to know more about how it was made. keep up the good work

Robbo --

Glad you liked it. As far as a big laugh, this is a dark comedy and we sort of preferred going with the hook -- David's bodyguard is the guy that's going to kill him, we all sort of figured it'd be the hook to bring people back. Just my opinion, though.

The website is Breakaleg.tv -- it's still being tweaked and things are being added, but there it is!

Thanks again!

like i said, just my personal opinion. But then, who am i to say? some things work better for somepeople (like how some people prefer Mad About You to seinfeld) thanks for the link, will check it out!

Thanks! if only we knew how to get a network to meet with us.

Finish your first three episodes.

This will let them know you are not just a one episode flash in the pan.

This is good for you as well.

Then, put together a promo package and shop it.

Don't sign anything without proper representation.

Stick with it and you will make it to the top!

whoa, this was really really funny. my only gripe is the sound. sometimes I can't hear what they're saying cause it's so low and in a comedy with dialogue flying everywhere, sound is critical. My favorite parts: the boom mic guy, the random sitcom laugh/applause generating, everybody seems to have great comic timing.

Question, where did you get these actors? The casting was so good.

Specifically, who was the main guy (the one with the gun to his head in the beginning) and who is the hot secretary who was in "Swamblers"? I'd like to work with these guys.

Best, Chris
