THE BOOK tells the story of two men whose lives cross paths in a very
unusual way. While on a routine stop for coffee and tacos at ROSA’S cafe,
DETECTIVE JOHN RAMOS encounters the CAN MAN, a local dumpster diver. Rescuing him from an attack by some STREET PUNKS. The off-duty cop soon discovers that the Can Man (RAFEL SAN MARTIN) is a former congressional candidate and war veteran on an “Extended hiatus”. A cursory gift from the detective ends up changing both of their lives.
