I am not a complete fan of everything you guys do. I definitely appreciate your efforts to save the whales just not always the tactics you use in-order to accomplish that goal. However, I definitely wish you safe travels and I don't agree with anything that the whalers are doing. Thanks for the videos and I do hope that your efforts put an end to whaling one day.

Thanks for all of the feedback! mpgxsvcd - I understand where you are coming from - I do think we should try to resolve these issues in as peaceful and civil of a manner as possible. Though at the moment, there is no single government enforcing the international law in the Southern Ocean. The whalers are doing this in an internationally recognized whale sanctuary. I would also like to see an end to whaling, as well. On another note, I usually only have time to read on the forums, more than post - though I have seen some of your work with the GF1 and I think you have done some with a P&S Lumix as well - makes me miss my days of rockclimbing - may have to get back into that when I am back on land.

Also, I think Sea Shepherd employs appropriate tactics when we consider what is at stake. I only wish it wouldn't be necessary to do so. My own government is, at very best, lack-luster in fulfilling the endless promises pledged (around election time) by the blowhards who have no interest in a. representing the actual people b. engaging anything that might interfere with trade and hence their chance of re-election.
Anyway, all the very best. If there is only one thing you can be proud of, this is it!!!

To be honest, I would prefer the Sea Shepard shooting live ammo (50cal). These guys are modern day heros. Year after year they go out and risk their lives to save the whales. Simply heroic!!! It's too bad they can't slaughter the japanese on those ships like they slaughter the whales. But at least what their doing is slowing down the killings some. I have made several donations to the the organazation. This is one of the issues out there I feel most passionate about.

When the Japanesse ship rammed their small racing boat, it showed the whalers care more about profit than the lives of the crew of that boat. Thats about when my views turned to pure hatred toward the whalers.
