"The Black Nazi" Independent from Germany

call it farce, comedy, controversy, art, wenders, trakowski, boratic, chappeleous. etc,. out of 1650 something views only 20 people have commented on your posts. free speech my dear German friend is very costly to others.
I have not seen the entire film and I do not get the concept, so I am not qualified to criticize or comment.
I just find the title very disturbing . "The Black Nazi" hmm. kind of like the soup nazi on Seinfield, only not quite like that.
A black amateur actor joining an Arian group to wipe who out?
I don't know why he accepted this role, or what demented racist person thought it will make a good edgy script. I guess people will do whatever it takes to get on screen.

If you were Jewish I could understand you squeezing a little humour out of a deep painful history, but I dont think you are (If I am wrong about your cultural identity please correct me).

Your next film might be titled "the happily raped virgin" or "the jewish nazi"
You see, strong titles evoke curiosity and emotion.
If your title was the "racist black guy" I will not be commenting

i looks like you think this film infuriates neo-nazis, gets euro festival accolades, youtube airhead votes and comments or sheds some kind of light on all kinds of racist people. You see my dear German friend your film is a double edged sword with a dull and a sharp edge (figure that out).

I am sure you have good intentions and i dont mean to attack you. I have a good sense of humor as most people on this site know.
I am from Africa, but I am very American when it comes to voicing and doing something about what I see as disturbing.
.

.

Dude! I know you are going to say: you don't care what about my opinion, but don't miss the boat on my comments.
I have not seen your film just the trailer and I dont speak German. I did see a black guy hounded to near death by two skinheads. He then reads a book about Nazi's and their quest to murder, millions of innocent people that look like him, but yet he finds comfort in joining his persecutors. I assume that is your film.

You are like D.W Griffith (this is your "Birth of a nation")
My generation, regardless of ethnicity should try not to make the mistakes of the past

hmm some food for thought.

Hello Danny, I see I have to write subtitles when I have time, because the movie is not easy to consume/ understand.

Some quick facts - the title has a direct connection to a movie from germany which was very famous one year ago and called "the white masai". I think there is a racistic connotation in this famous movie and the title, and we as a group tried to get people to think about such hidden racism. there is such a lot of everyday racism - which is not intended but still used by nearly all of us.

The main actor (who actually is an political refugee from the former zaire) and other members of our group became several times victims of neonazi-violence - racist thought and fascism is a huge problem in the former eastern germany, where I live.

In the group who made this movie are german, spain, japanese, jewish and congolese people.

The idea of this movie is to beat the neonazis and fascists with there own silly but dangerous ideology. A man becomes a 100% nazi / a nazi psycho (don`t know how to explain in english) and confronts the neonazis with there own ideology, so they will become a victim of this because there is no superior men or race like the "uebermensch" ideology (stolen from nietzsche by the nazis).

the whole project, as the title and poster and so on is very strong connected to actual political debates and campaigns in germany, especially of the extreme right wing party NPD. There are a lot of thinks and connections you can`t know. But of course, when I`m watching stuff here I also don`t get it everytime. In this case, and when I became interested - before I start to write, I read the whole posts in the thread (this is a hint).

I haven`t seen "Birth of a nation" until now - but know a little bit about the movie. Please don`t call me Griffith or I have to call you Leni Riefenstahl !!!

I`ve got a question for you: What do you mean with
"millions of innocent people that look like him" ???

One more: " I am from Africa, but I am very American when it comes to voicing and doing something about what I see as disturbing." ???
Please think about what you have written there!! Maybe if I would be Griffith I would be proud of you as my son...

Also I have to say that I don`t like platitudes like:
"Your film is a double edged sword with a dull and a sharp edge (figure that out)" - I hope you understand.

I can say, we reached a huge audience and had a lot of good discussions about this theme between the main actor who spoke about his experiences and the audience, which was our aim.

I would like to write more, but don`t have the time now. OK, I hope I could clear up the thing a little bit. Peace!

I think that people that are critizing this film based on a trailer and its precieved subject matter have missed the boat. Although maybe unlikely, I have no issue with showing a black man act as a nazi if the point of the piece is to show the absurdity of racism and nazism in today's society.

It is plausible and occasionally does occur in life that a person being persucted by a group may adopt the cause of that group as his own. Look at the french film La Haine. There is a jewish character in the film that fights for and wants to be a part of the french arabic youth culture. While not exactly the same as a black man becoming a nazi it does show that, in film, any subject matter should be available.
