The best software for AVCHD

Premiere Pro CS5 and EDIUS Pro 5.5 and EDIUS Neo 2.5 all scream with AVCHD.

Thanks for the heads up.

I am playing with Pro CS5 but the footage viewed native it is coming out choppy and there is now sound. But when the file is converted to the WMV format, it is perfect but I would like to avoid converting the files.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Indexing turned off?

Windows indexing is the number one cause of I/O problems with editing if you already have the processing power.

I'm happy w/Neo 2.5...

I'm happy w/Neo 2.5...

at least for now... and mine is the free versoin that came w/my HMC-150.

Holding off on CS5 until I can afford a computer to make proper use of it.

Best of luck.

You turn off indexing by:

1) select each drive - properties, then unselect indexing, then apply to all subfolders.

2) run services.msc (you can also get there via admin tools) and disable the Indexing Service.

thanks for explaining! i'll give it a try.

I also have problems with AVCHD editing...I have an integrated video card... If I buy a separate one would editing be speed up?
