The best lighting you've seen...

Re: The best lighting you've seen...

Another great cinematographer is Caleb Deschanel. Among his best works (in my opinion) are: 'The Passion of The Christ' and 'Message In The Bottle.' Two of the best well lit movies I've seen!

I will like to add my two Lincolns here. Definitely "Road To Perdition", "Vertigo", "Amelie", "Titanic" and "The Passion of the Christ". Oh, we must not forget "The Godfather". For black and white, I like "Citizen Kane" and a movie that Sofia Coppola directed (can't remember name).

The lighting in Legend was what made the movie(having Tom Cruise and Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, Sloan Peterson, didnt hurt either)! The "unicorn/rose petals everywhere" scene in slo-mo is a work of art.

Did anyone mention Suspiria?

Re: The best lighting you've seen...

Are there any DVD (or links to them) that show how the lighting was done for some/all of these movies everyone seems to like?
