the best JAMES BOND

The Bond franchise desperately needs someone like Tarantino to revitalize it. It's been getting a bit stagnant with the last few entries. The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day had their moments, but they were nothing extraordinary and were basically paint-by-numbers mishmashes of previous Bond films. If Tarantino is truly a fan, I believe he could bring the series exactly what it needs. Too bad the producers are too conservative and decided to go the safe route.

John Frankenheimer or Doug Liman should get to do a Bond film as "Ronin" and "The Bourne Identity" were two of the cooler spy/action flicks in a some time.
While Tarantino is good at genre flicks, haven't seen him even attempt this genre. Would worry that he would turn it into a gore fest.

I'll back the idea of Tarantino directing a Bond film only if we cast Samuel L. Jackson as James Bond.

Definitely Goldfinger, with From Russia with Love as a close second.

"Do you expect me to talk Goldfinger?"

"No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."

Classic....

Don't let that thief Tarantino near it.
Brosnan looks the best. Roger Moore the funniest. Dalton Nastiest. Sean Connery the hardest.
Christian Bale would be good, no not really just ok. He needs panache.
I stayed in Udipur (India) and every café played Octopussy EVERY day/ night of the year.
