The best in-camera audio method?

So I shot with someone who had a C100. Was pretty cool, but the best part about the entire thing was that it had XLR inputs. I feel like I've saved so much time not worrying about the H4N with syncing, and keeping track of the files...

Whats the best device to use to get good sound directly into the 5d? I have a Mark2.

Alot of my stuff is used for online use only. Although I have made things that are played at large events with nice sound systems. Don't know if that would make a difference.

Plug one end of this to the headphone jack of the H4N and the other end into the audio input of your 5D2. Use magic lantern to disable the 5D's AGC. To match up levels, set the H4N's headphone volume to 100% and leave magic lantern's analog gain at 0db.

You'll then only need to adjust the H4N's record level to control input gain.

In addition, one of these will allow you to use your headphones.

Very Nice! I'm gonna try this. Have heard about this method before but will give it a try. Also, What if I have a Rode VideoMic. Just plug in the Mic into the Mic jack, Right?
