I came across this:

Anybody has any experience in doing something like this?

Many countries require some sort of "cultural test" - if anybody knows, would especially interesting to hear any relevant experience.

A lot depends on your knowledge of the local languages, rules and corrupted/corruptible officials.

Also, the premise of the NFS article above is economically suspect. A country can have higher rebates but also higher costs of production. Then, there's the cost and quality of local labor. Some may charge more but have the quality of Hollywood crews. Others are there because their uncle knows someone important in the local government. Then, there's willingness of the above-the-line talent to spend months in some G-d forsaken hellhole simply because it carries lower production costs and/or rebates.
