Does anybody know how to get that Batman/Spawn dark yet detail look?

What camera settings for DVX100B?
What kinda volts of light should I use?

Etc.

Whatever I need to achieve the look indoors and out... I still havent gotten the Barry book yet... Will that explain how to get that look at all?

Somebody please reply, thanks...

Lighting power is measured in watts, at the instrument end, and lumens, at the subject end. Any lights you buy or rent, will have their power use expressed in watts.

If you absorb what's in Barry's book, and spend some quality time experimenting with the camera and lights, you should be able to create the look you want.

Get a permit, Rent lots of lights and the neccesary generators, shoot it about twice as bright as you think you want it, then bring it down to the right brighness level in post.

For indoor scenes, a 500 watt light is a good place to start. 300 Watters, and 150 watters will fill up the rest of the lineup.

also in post, desaturate it a little, bring down the blues a little (to make it a tiny bit yellow) and crush the blacks a little.
i guess that would help, but i cant really remember batman that well lol
