Though this is a few years old, it was entirely shot with a DVX and might be worth archiving in this forum. First off - you techhead, DP types will probably hate this! (LOL!!) The lighting is usually bright and even, the sets are cheap as hell and often shot in my garage. But, in terms of quirky characters and shear entertainment, fans in Superchick forums consider this one of the best indie superchick features, ever.

Shot for a measley $5,900, this movie features flipped vehicles, marines, black ops, shoot outs galore. Pollystaffle had me breakdown the budget for him in this writeup:

I really didn't care that the guy documenting the shoot had a Sony F900 Cinealta, because I was shooting with the DVX100, dammit!
The producer and FX artist, Kelly Johnston, picked up my previous feature, TERRARIUM, in a Borders book store. He was so struck by how we created an alien world, in my backyard, that he approached me, with a script by Erik Manion, to direct, edit and score the movie. Basically, I had the DVX, lights, mics, generator and equipment, so was his one stop shop. I have a shi*load of music equipment, so I scored it, as I do all my projects.
However, Kelly thought that I would be perfect as the superchick's (Lara) scientist husband in the movie, which complicated the filmmaking job, but I was too much of a ham to turn it down.
Like I said, it's a cheap-a$$ flick, but it's a lot of fun. The movie is supposed to be available on Comcast VOD, in the near future. We sold a few hundred of our own pressed DVDs and Thailand.
