My favorite part of this is what is says to every AD I've ever worked with who thinks EVERYBODY should have a TC linked Denecke or something is really really wrong... (since they had 'em in film school.)

Hmm... I guess that wasn't a "real" film shoot we just saw there huh?

This party needs pooping.

The one thing I thought (but was hesitant to say) is that I'm not sure how "cool" this is unless a scene is supposed to be upbeat, laughing, etc. To me it's a LITTLE bit odd to have a clapper that draws everyone's attention onto THEM just at the instant the acting is to start.

For SOME scenes... yeah... ease the mood... but for others (intimate scenes, drama, etc.) it seems a little bit unprofessional... and kind of "desperate"... almost like there's something subconscious going on when you're so close to another world... having to duck out of view so the stars can shine... and so you decide to do something about it.

*grabs some charmin*

Okay... sorry... I'm done :)

I've heard rumors that clappers are basically required to use directors names on Tarentino's shows for calling letters.

The expletives and descriptors, can't comment on that. I think it's kinda cool. Though I can see it getting old fast.
