The Amazing Spider-man

I'm always suspicious of male actors who have more than reasonable amounts of coiffed hair. Garfield is venturing too close to Robert Pattinson territory...Oh, and the trailer looks okay...But why do we need to see this story again?

To be fair, though I think this is an entirely pointless reboot, he does resemble Parker from the comic far better than any previous attempt.

The fact that this is filmed on RED combined with the leaked set photos that came out last year has it sold for me. I'm thinking that FPS sequence in the trailer was made specifically for the trailer, as reports indicate that many of the stunts for this film were done practically.

I feel like a 'hater', but I liked the trailers for the 1st Sam Raimi Spider-man film better. This seems dark somehow; Spider-man, to me, should be a reprieve from that.

Exactly, Spidey's persona is cracking jokes and lighthearted. This version of Spiderman seems super serious and a tad emo to me.

I suppose they are trying to grab a piece of the Twilight audience.

Not the direction they should go for Spider Man.

It seems to me that the only way to correct the issues with Hollywood's lack of originality is to either:

A) Kill 95% of the people in Hollywood.
B) Neuralyze the public.

so parker was a skate in comic book ? How i managed to not spot this at all during all these years WOW.
Trailer is boring and i dont like the videogame FPS sequence of swinging between buildings, ive seen this millions of times on PS3 games, it doesnt even look convincing.

It's really only in one game... albeit an awesome one...

I still think it was a sequence created deliberately for the trailer, especially seeing the similarities above (almost feels like an homage). Kinda like the sequence from Raimi's Spider-man 1 that had Spidey catching a helicopter full of bank robbers in a giant web spun between the twin towers.

I cant believe they ripped the game trailer off !

I spoke with a friend yesterday just on this movie. He's into the whole Spiderman/Thor/Captain America thing. He thinks it looks good, I'm not convinced. Aparently the script for number 4 with Tobey McGuire was practically the same as the script for film 2, hence why the dropped it. And the producers said they couldn't come up with something that expanded on the creative flow of the first three. Have they not read the comics?

There was also comment from my friend that there having to remake a few stories (which will include doing Batman again) so that it fits in with the up coming avengers movies. I also heard that Sony (who I believe bought the rights off Marvel?) pressured the writers to make Spiderman 3 with Venom, even though he was originally scripted in as the 4th movie. Doing it again sounds like one big cash grab to me.

To be fair, the author of that video synced it all up to make it like the trailer, the only similarities in the actual game and trailer seem to be the fact that you can jump around on rooftops which look quite industrial, and then it is cleverly cut together to sort of match it. I didn't read it properly the first time and I thought that was the actual game trailer, not some guys edit. (For some reason a lot of people think that is the actual trailer or segment from the game shot for shot).

This trailer definitely did nothing for me but I will be interested in seeing the film for sure. There's something off about it though. The music they picked really put me off for some reason (nothing to do with the fact that I'm so used to the Elfman score). I don't know. The whole thing just seems very "if you loved twilight, you'll love this!" or MTV, but of course it's only a little glimpse, the film could be great, who knows. That stupid we all have secrets quote at the end made me cringe though. :)

Batman doesn't have anything to do with the Avengers . . .
